VETERINARY SURGEON

Alan first qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1973 at Glasgow University. He went into practice as a large animal vet in Banffshire, Yorkshire and Cheshire. He later moved to Norfolk where he worked as a small and large animal vet for Uplands Way, Diss. He set up his own practice, Sunnyside Veterinary Clinic, based first at Harpley and then Roydon.

In 2000 he had a slight change of direction, providing holistic therapies for people and animals in his current capacity as Chiropractor, Holistic Vet, Homeopath and Kinesiologist. Initially he traded as Sunnyside Holistic Centre Ltd in Narborough, Norfolk. He now practices in Swaffham, Norfolk as Athena Holistics Ltd.

Alan has a zest for learning and to his already-long list of qualifications has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from The Open University and a BA (Hons) in Music from The Open University. He is an avid reader and writes prose and poetry. He is also a keen ballroom dancer and has attained medals in Argentine Tango, Tango Valse, Ballroom, Latin Dance, American Smooth, West Coast Swing.
